RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Holon Health, a multi-specialty provider – including primary care and psychiatry – that bridges the gaps in care for people with substance use disorders (SUD) by providing health evaluations and care plan management, announced its multi-modal digital therapeutic app, Holon Vibe. Designed with a Solution-Focused Therapy approach, Holon Vibe facilitates motivation, affirmation, coping skills, problem-solving, and pro-social behaviors through contingency management, psychoeducational content, mentorship/coaching, and peer support.
Initial data reveal Holon Health program adherence via Holon Vibe leads to significant results:
“Historically in healthcare, we have focused on treating illnesses and chronic conditions rather than their prevention. This approach can be detrimental to individuals and the system as a whole,” said Jason Herzog, co-founder and CEO of Holon Health. “With more than 48 million Americans battling a substance use disorder and U.S. healthcare spending growing every year, we wanted to build a solution that creates systemic and long-term change for a population that struggles with traditional healthcare models. Our solution-focused approach solves longer-term engagement in treatment because high drop-out rates notoriously align with higher relapse and recidivism rates which hurt the patient and cost healthcare systems. With the Holon Vibe app, we continue to remove the unnecessary barriers to recovery and sobriety through evidence-based approaches accessible to the communities that need our care.”
The Holon Vibe app includes the following features:
Earlier this month, the Biden administration increased the annual cap for Medicaid-reimbursed contingency management, evidence-based psychosocial intervention, as part of an individual’s addiction treatment.
“When it comes to treating substance use disorder, we have tried the same things over and over, often with little success. It’s time we add new tools and approaches to the toolbox,” said Dr. Traci Sweet, Psy.D., co-founder and COO of Holon Health. “For most people suffering from SUD who are also caught up in the criminal justice system, there is a desire to change past behaviors, but few resources to help, and little to no focus on reinforcing adaptive and pro-social behaviors. We developed the Holon Vibe app to put those resources at their fingertips – and without judgment, stigma, or punishment for mistakes or lapses. Every individual should be able to easily access mental and physical health care services, engage with a recovery coach/support system, and be connected to housing, and transportation resources.”
Holon Health currently provides services to clients in Indiana and Arizona, with more states scheduled to be added throughout 2025.
